Born in Los Angeles, California on October 22, 1916, Dunlap grew up in Los Angeles and began painting at age eight. He studied locally with Jack W. Smith, J. Mason Reeves, Nell Walker Warner, and at the Art Center School. He was a resident of Laguna Beach, California from 1960 until his death on June 7, 1999.
Member: San Fernando Valley Art Club (President, 1939).
